Sounds like something that could only come out of his mouth. sorry it's so slow here. i know Im not helping much. I kind of feel that way every time I try too hard to post stuff over here, like all the threads trying to invite people into a discussion, or a debate, but I guess I'm not that good at it. (Miss the heydays... will never forget what this place used to be like--really--this was probably the BEST (and by best I mean, most thoughtful, intellectually inspiring, creative) forum dedicated to an actress I've seen yet. It didn't matter who you were or what you did, but if you weren't Nat: no dice, at least as far as this cinema goer was concerned. Sure, there were other films in the pipeline too, but nothing came close to the professional afterwords. And then there was "AQMB"; an oasis to what all the crap that was out there... and they could actually hold a conversation--intelligently--and I was hooked. Granted I wasn't in their leag yet, but maybe as time went by, things would change. I hoped they would. For my sake of course. Me with Natalie Portman on the brain; a dream made in paradise. But you know what happened then... I discovered that there were alot of other Nats out there; Nats who I didn't even get the chance to appreciate, or acknowledge; like Cal of course who's not only a fire-fighter in her home-town (hope she doesn't mind me disclosing that) and teaches tiny kids how to roller-skate during the winter season--what a woman--aye. Then there's Pasha and I'm forgetting her name (but she's european and very smart/ and quick with her words). Both great gals... both including Cal who I've had a crush on... hope you all have a long... LONG life that's as fruitful as you'd like it to be -- maybe even more than Natalie's, aye. You too, all I've forgotten; this is the season to be merry right? Go on... ask that guy out who you've been hunkering all year over. Just don't be disappointed if he rejects; you win some/you loose some--right?

It's about America and their WAR with Vietnam--I'm sorry; I'm not too up to date on it but there are alot of black people dieing (kids mainly) and the people put in charge of dealing with the crap are kid's themselves who don't know any better and are trying to find help and meaning in this world... I started the movie from an Irish kid who decides its about time to head over to America and confront his farther--that he knows who he is and so does his mom of course, and they're not expecting anything from him, but if he could acknowledge his presence from time to time he'd appreciate it. That, and whatever else is left in the movie... He also manages to bumble into these American Hockey jerks who manage to score a shot on to the room window of some other class and so have to run out-a there as fast as they can. Where do they head, but to their college dorm I presume where both of them get a formal introduction. This is also the scene where he takes him to meet his girlfriend. By the way, I forgot to mention but so does the Irishman have a girlfriend, back home. . So now were in New York for the holiday's and the American guy gets into it with his father and uncle: Why does he have to do something to be noticed (or something; I'm sorry but the brain's really hazy right now). And after this huge hullabaloo with his folks; he decides to move out, and into an apartment in new york city--outside of the suburbs--which I think is where he was... Talk to me sometime. It's been awhile since we messaged but I promise you if I knew your number, every third letter would be going to you right now. And tell your husband that I want to see you face-to-face, before it's too late, maybe the next time I'm passing through America, and get the chance to finally meet you, and Rick, and Twiggy: and all the other AQMB'ers.

You know something; I do remember you saying something to me about your eye surgery, or was it just the pains that you have in your eyes, and I for one never considered you going to the hospital for it man--sorry--but that is one scary place to be. Glad you got out of there and are now on your way to recovery... I hope you had an okay experience when you were inside and the folks were nice--they can be quite mean sometimes so I know how it must feel. I hear you about the recovery too, so I hope you have a speedy and "well" one. How's your mom doing by the way... give her my regards and tell her that my dad who just found out about you mentioned you to god and wished you well and your mom all the support she needs. I guess I've left my folks, sis and cousin off of the dinning table long enough so see ya' later man (hopefully!)...
