Twig,I Haven't seen the video yet , but what did you think when you first heard her new song? The first time I listened to it, I thought she was singing "nothing but panties in my pocket, that's all I have to keep me warm." I kind of thought she might be heading in a new direction, with more risque lyrics, but of course I now know she was saying "pennies" not "panties."

NB: I liked the song when I first heard it. I wasn't really paying much attention to the lyrics much though. I just couldn't get past the do'

But I like the song. It's something a little different. I dig Jessica Simpson's new one more though.

I was at a flee market last week and I saw a video of hers for sale, and I couldn't resist.I mean, it was only $5.00, but it had some of her videos that I had never seen before, and some interviews.

Yeah, I saw a Mandy DVD one time and almost bought it. For 5 bucks I definitely would've.

Mandy's CD debuted on the charts last week at a pathetic #35

C'mon y'all, get her album. It's good stuff. Even if you don't like the music there's a couple cute Mandy pics with the CD booklet.

Mandy's gonna be on MTV's TRL on Friday(I think she's co-hosting or something). So, um, watch.

They showed her new video today for "Crush" and it is 100 times better than her previous one. No mullets in sight this time, just lots of cuteness

Well I only have Irresistible so I can't compare those too... yet. And I hear that 'Mandy Moore' is not straight pop, it has like some Indian vibes or something and Jessica is trying to be more r'n'b so I don't know if you can compare them. And Twig, you said that Jessica has pipes... Well she certainly does but I don't think her new album shows that. It lacks a powerful ballad like "I wanna love you forever" and it sounds like she's holding back her voice. Maybe the songs don't suit her voice. My favorite track is "When you told me you loved me".

But let's not forget the battle of the titans... Coming this fall, Christina and Britney release their new albums....

I ordered 'Aaliyah'. I'm starting to be addicted to buying CDs online... I once bought like every Christina record one online store had.

Edina: Well, I think the mother of Jess ballads is and will always be "Where You Are." That song is just WOW!

I doubt the battle of the pop princesses will be much of a battle though

November 6th-Britney returns, to blow the roof off.

Aaliyah's new one is near perfect. I've listened to it all the way through at least 3 times in just a week. "I Refuse" is my fave off it.

Choconat: Yes, buy Jessica's album.

Bought both their new albums recently and their both good especiallies Jessica's. I notice that both try new sounds in their new albums and they both work. Yeah Mandy does get some Indian style sound in some of her songs.

As for the battle of November I put my money on Britney all the way.

But it doesn't matter I usually like everything dished out by my four favourite blonds

I'm listening to clips from 'Mandy Moore' and I'm not impressed yet. I like 'In my pocket' and I was expecting the other songs to be something similar but they sound like normal pop songs to me. Oh well, I have time to change my mind because the album isn't coming to Finland before September I'm sure.

Twig: 'Where you are'? I don't hear any wowness in that song. It's nice but there are no (or not as many and powerful) high notes like in 'IWLYF'. And I just loooove when they hit the high notes

But there's something weird about Jessica's voice. It sounds like she is struggling to sing. And of course, compared to Christina she lacks a whole octave but that's another story

But I'm really glad I bought 'Irresistible'. And downloaded 'Sweet Kisses'.

What is "The Princess Diaries" about??? It sounds interesting to me. Does Julie Andrews in it???? Also, the girl Anne Hathaway sounds familiar to me, I'm pretty sure that I've heard her name somewhere before. I think she's in The Audrey Hepburn Story ( something like this, that HBO's mini tv series or movies????), she's the young Audrey, right???

ps I like Audrey Hepburn, she's such a beauty. I do think Nat is a bit look alike her. Both of them are just classic.

karelle, are you mandy's fan, who else here is her fan?
