Our dear friend and message board co-administrator, Greg Muskewitz, aka PegLegGreg and JeLaime,
passed away on April 22 in San Diego after a long illness and treatment for a rare cancer called Ewings Sarcoma. His stepfather called me with the news, as Greg had pre-arranged with me at Christmastime. Even though I knew I would one day hear the words, it tore my insides out. Greg asked me to inform his friends from the internet and the AQMB when he died; its an honor for me to carry out his wish.

Greg Muskewitz was just 23 years old but had already accomplished so much and touched so many lives far and wide, across borders and generations. Greg was a remarkably lively, precise, and beautiful writer, and his voice reached many thousands of readers over the world wide web. Gregs voice was a big part of what drew me to join up at AQMB Forum.
As a testament to how many people knew Greg from his writing on the internet, Ill be updating this post with links to on-line tributes to Greg from his friends and colleagues below:

From Dazza at natalieportman.com in the April 25 morning update.

While many of us have shared a surprisingly intimate online relationship with Greg, I was fortunate to actually meet him in person. In August 2001 we shared three days and nights in New York Citys Central Park whilst we waited in line for tickets to The Seagull, the famous play directed by Mike Nichols starring Natalie Portman, Meryl Streep, and Kevin Kline. Greg was just as funny, vibrant, caring, articulate, and interested in life as he appears in writing. Perhaps because we met in person, I became Gregs physical connection to the virtual online world.
I will miss you Greg, but I know your voice will live on in our hearts and memories, and in your writing.
Rest in Peace, friend. With Love, Cal

*Greg has been immortalized in an upcoming episode of his favorite television show, Gilmore Girls. Thanks to his friends Beth and Diana, and the Warner Foundation for making his dream come true.* (see page 3 for downloadable video of scene)
Please feel free to use this thread to post your comments, wishes, thoughts, and memories regarding Greg. I will send the link to his family and this permanent memorial will be linked onto other websites. In addition, Greg's friend Diana is printing a booklet with tributes to give to Greg's family.
